FIFPRO need to pull their thumb out their arse and get supporting players
    Football without Origi is nothing

Whilst I have no love for Barcelona, I'm not getting this whole supporting super rich players as if they were trudging down the warehouse at Amazon. These are deals between super-rich commercial entities (because at that level that's what players are) negotiated with high level lawyers on both sides. If there's a dispute and they can't negotiate they take it to a commercial court for a commercial settlement. The chances of people like FDY paying taxes like the rest of us are next to zero so they aren't really covered by the workers' rights banner. All this bollocks in the press is just negotiating pressure.

For me it has nothing to do with the quantum of the remuneration, it is about shady business practice and a lack of ethical leadership at the club. If I sign a contract on 30 day terms, I’m potentially working the first two months without any reward. I have to trust my client will honour the contractual terms and not “do a Barça”.

Conflating their tax arrangements is deflection from the issue that the club are massively in the wrong here.

And UEFA standing by doing nothing is ridiculous

Oh, I agree with you about the sharp practices at Barcelona completely. I'm saying that a lot of these kind of situations played out in the press between big players and clubs are pressure points that the different parties play out to aid their "negotiations". It's not all one way traffic, players' agents are adept at this kind of stuff too.

Football just gets nuttier by the day!
t play Griezmann more than 30 minutes per game on average over the coming season, so as not to pay the 40M € to Barça.

He's only played 29 minutes in every game played, so far.

Just putting off the inevitable surely. There’s only so many assets they can sell & if they keep spending like drunken tossers they’ll get caught out sooner or later.

Especially when they are selling future revenue streams - absolutely crazy when they could build around some of their academy stars in the next 2-3 years and rebuild more sustainably

                            Just how ??

Barcelona recorded a profit of £86m for the last financial year and expect to make a £240m profit next year, the club has announced.

This summer the Spanish club were unable to register new players because of La Liga financial regulations having made a loss of £422m the previous year.

However, they freed up funding with several 'economic levers'.

The club said it closed the 2021-22 financial year with a turnover of £890m.

Financial restrictions meant there were delays in registering new signings including Robert Lewandowski and Raphinha this summer.

The 'levers' have involved selling shares of their future television rights and their media production unit Barca Studios.

In August, they sold an additional 24.5% of Barca Studios to Orpheus Media for 100m euros (£84.6m) - this was expected to generate enough revenue to satisfy La Liga and allow Barca to register at least some of their new players.

Barcelona are second in La Liga on 16 points after six games, two points behind Real Madrid.
