Well there is talk of a lot of Europe closing off any travel to and from a number of African nations so seems foolish for it too ahead. Especially if this new strain of covid turns out to be worse than delta.

If travel bans come into place they might not have much choice but to cancel or postpone. Either that or just do without players based in Europe.

It’s only 18 months until Afcon 2023 now (a summer one at least), **** this one off FFS.

It will probably still go ahead, just with severer quarantine rules which means we’ll be without our players for even longer.

On the news now that there is about to be a UK travel ban to/from six African countries and that the number of countries banned may grow

Yeah I'd say this tournament will get canned within the next week or so given the latest developments.
