I’m fed up with football a d the 4 week gap was nice…… I rarely watch other games these days and now we are **** I actually avoid them

Just had a look at extended highlights of the City game. They made United look what they are - ****! Bilbo Baggins in centre back being treated like a rag doll and Erikisson as a CM vs a good side = a hammering. Haaland is something else - I didn’t know what to expect tbh but he’s always there at the end of stuff and his huge frame can contort to get the ball into the net no matter how it comes to him.

They haven’t changed how they play to accommodate him - they do what they do and he’s not involved in build up, just get on the end of stuff in the box. They mullered United without Laporte, Dias, Stones, Rodri or Mahrez…….. scary depth

It’s frightening to think what they might do to us - their strengths are so set up to capitalise on our weaknesses.

Don't forget that we beat them in the charity shield, and their carthorse of a centre forward didn't touch the ball, or touched it a couple of times.

They are playing like it at the moment - Thiago aside I get this positivity Fredo but it’s bordering on madness not to acknowledge at how **** we’ve been and the antithesis of what we are used to from these players

Not saying we’re playing great, but there are circumstances we need to acknowledge. The same team could have won 4 trophies last year and they can’t become crap over a few months.

We’re just not in great form as a team, but we will turn this around. Other way to face it is to say we’re **** until we’re blue in the face just to force the catharsis.

I think the crux of all the analysis I have read is this. We need a very good, mobile and tactically astute RCM. Without that piece, Trent is exposed and to an extent Fabinho is too stretched. And we need a good option to bring on as a sub so Thiago and Fab don't have to play every game. If we had that, then Milner or Henderson would be fine to bring on for the last 20 minutes to see a game out. Without that piece, the system is flawed.

Well it's true, I come here for the bantz but I do admit to watching 3 minutes highlights.

My footballing interest levels have dropped substantially and I feel a lot better for it. This week I helped build a mountain bike trail and I'm volunteering for a major international mtb event.
