I can get that with the FA cup where you could watch 3 or 4 games back to back that kind of makes sense in a weird way 19:30 and 20:15 is kind of similar as in principle they are offset by 45 mins so you can watch all of the first game and (most of) the second half of the 20:15 game, so I guess that boosts viewers for a broadcaster like Amazon. But it means the match going fans are getting out of the ground after 22:00 which is ****tyOriginally posted by ChesterDave View PostThere generally seems to be a lot more variation in recent seasons. There is usually 6-10 12.30 kick offs across the top 4 divisions every Saturday. Across Thursday to Monday there were 17 different kick off times in the FA Cup 3rd round and that's from 32 matches. Drip fed rather than the excitement of lots happening at once.
7.45 and 8 were always quite common but I think the 7.30 (aside from the football league trophy or LDV Vans whatever the hell it is called these days) and 8.15 became more common after the round of fixtures exclusive to Amazon. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
