Yeah a shocker. As per usual ref is called to the screen and lacks the balls to make a decision. The screen thing is a total waste of time if it’s never ever over turned.

When was the last time a VAR decision was ignored by the on field ref? The ‘senior’ refs like Tierney and Oliver will never be challenged by more junior on field refs. It is why VAR and on field officials should be from separate organisations.

Did they stop the clear and obvious rule this season? - because I thought Burns used his weight and size to put Bentancur on the deck. It was featherweight vs heavyweight.

Yes it was a ridiculous decision - given mainly because Bentancur wasn't looking at the ball - but that happens all the time with no punishment, and Burn used his size to put Bentancur in a headlock by the time the ball came over and they went down

I like the idea of separate organistions actually. I've seen refs go to the screen in the CL and make a different decision to the VAR recommendation, wouldn't mind seeing some of that in the PL
