From booking everyone in sight to 'letting them play the game', the amount of discretion a referee has is ridiculous, and can completely skew the sporting integrity of the competition.

I find Robbie Savage to be terrible but he outright called out the awful standard of the first half. A few of the challenged them on it but he wasn't backing down.

There are loads of instances where the likes of Haaland KDB and Foden throw their hands up in the air when it doesn't come off for him. Really bad body language. That said he seems to delay the pass a lot.

I think he'd have been good under Jurgen though to be honest.

Just so everyone knows where they stand as much as anything because game to game or week to week no one knows what is a foul or a penalty, no one knows what is a yellow or red card from week to week and it damages the game. I honestly think that the officiating we are seeing now is the worst that I can remember and the analysis and justification of it that former referees are giving of it is a joke.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Totally agree. Arsenal start the day top. Finish second and they literally celebrate the fact. I don’t recall celebrating any 0-0’s no matter who they are against. This is definitely an insight into their mentality.

TBF most of us would take a draw away to City of it kept us above them. If our own fans don't think we're good enough to win the league, surely Arsenal fans will be thinking the same, finish above City and the league is yours.

I'd be the same in their shoes if roles were reversed, confident we could overtake them in the final 9 games.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Vincent Company complaining about the standard of refereeing this season. It was him slthat avoided an obvious red card versus us, wasn't it

He’s not wrong though. I’d say this season we’ve seen the levels of officiating at an all time low

managers etc need to be unified on it- no point complaining when your team suffers from it, and talking about how these things even themselves out and that we need to respect refs (yes that’s aimed at you, Ange) when it’s a diff team.

The refereeing standards, and especially var has gone down the toilet this season. If they all sang from the same hymn sheet, there would be a chance that it would get improved.
                          I don't tip

I’d settle for a draw, but I think we’ve always gone into games with City looking and playing to win - Klopp knows no other way. I’d defo never be cheering and whooping about a 0-0 given there was also a drop down the table.

I want us to win every game, but the fact is there are some games that it's important not to lose, I have never cheered us getting a draw like that but I have come out of some games relieved that we didn't lose.

I think that was a game that Arsenal thought they would probably lose and a defeat would have left them 3 points behind us and 2 behind City, it wouldn't be an impossible situation for them but it would be difficult as they would have been relying on 2 teams slipping up.

That point keeps them ahead of City, they only have to match City's results to stay ahead of them, while their GD advantage over us, means that if we draw and they win one week they will move ahead on GD. I suspect that the feeling in the Arsenal camp is that City are capable of winning all of their 9 remaining games, but that they don't think we are. Obviously we need to prove them wrong.

He's not. But it isn't restricted to this year. The 2013/14 year where Sterling was still a Liverpool players and adjudged offside and his non-red card where two decisions that helped im to two league winners medals.
He only speaks out now because he is on the wrong end of it
