I think that was a game that Arsenal thought they would probably lose and a defeat would have left them 3 points behind us and 2 behind City, it wouldn't be an impossible situation for them but it would be difficult as they would have been relying on 2 teams slipping up.

That point keeps them ahead of City, they only have to match City's results to stay ahead of them, while their GD advantage over us, means that if we draw and they win one week they will move ahead on GD. I suspect that the feeling in the Arsenal camp is that City are capable of winning all of their 9 remaining games, but that they don't think we are. Obviously we need to prove them wrong.

I don't disagree, but sometimes fans have a certain arrogance (or ignorance) when it comes to laughing at other teams. There was definitely a match recently that reminded me of the WBA mocking, when other fans thought it was hilarious Klopp was celebrating a draw, missing the much bigger picture of that result. Nobody outside of Liverpool will ever remember that match now or ever think it contributed to any of our success, but internally many people do. Likewise, if Arsenal do go one to win the league this year (they won't!), I imagine certain players and fans will have felt this was one of the defining results.

It was an excellent result for Arsenal and regardless of entertainment, one the should more than happy with.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I’m full on tribal right now. I’m not looking for any sort of balanced/reasonable debate on this FFS

Arsenal fans are pricks, and they’d celebrate a decent catch from the ball boy at this point.

Klopp gives the fist bumps but our lot look mega focused.
      Modifying post.

        This I can't disagree with.

I'd be the same in their shoes if roles were reversed, confident we could overtake them in the final 9 games.

Arsenal taking a point and maintaining the upper hand over City. I think it patronises us though, hopefully at their peril

The refereeing standards, and especially var has gone down the toilet this season. If they all sang from the same hymn sheet, there would be a chance that it would get improved.
Yeah, until the clubs actually unite on the standards we're seeing nothing will change it's not a tribal thing, it's just poor standards and something that as a collective they should be demanding are improved.

problem is always that its always in the moment and one club benefits and the other suffers so the team getting the rub doesn't want to call it out, that needs to change but struggle to see that happening .

That was the start of Arsenal bottling it. Happy to take the point when they really needed the win. That point will not be enough for them. It represented the wrong mentality and that is not what wins you titles.

                  I don't think so.

                  They parked the bus.

Seems to me that they played not to lose, rather than going for the win.
                  Oh I don't know.

They obviously thought we will drop more point than them. Big gamble. probably didnt fancy their chances in an open game with City
In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

Forest leading at home v Fulham. Good three points especially if Newcastle beat Everton

Linked with Arsenal and Chelsea I think.

I wouldn't be surprised if he moves in the summer to fund other reinforcements at Newcastle.
