It's a local derby too so no massive amounts of travel for most Brentford fans.

Can't say I was either. We did pretty well in those early games last season overall.

It's a new approach for this season anyway. There is more flexibility around these things, and rightly so.

Yeah I saw that & my first thought was why are there no suspensions handed out post match by the officials. Obvious diving to get penalties etc that goes unpunished is another thing they should be cracking down on.

Someone else did that at the weekend too. Was one of the Brighton players. Replay showed no contact to his head, he looks about for a second or two then goes down holding his head and stayed down long enough that the medics came onto the pitch.


Walker against the red mancs was another bit of simulation that deserved a red card imo. If the ref had been fooled by it then the manc player would have been sent off for violent conduct, so imo if you get caught doing what he did then the punishment should equal what you would have caused the other player to get.

Hojlund did go charging up and put his head on Walkers head though - no real force in it but it’s still a pretty aggressive and stupid thing to do

Think Nunez got sent off for doing the same when he first arrived

It's the kind of coming together that gets ignored in derby games. Hojlund should have been booked for being overly aggressive, and Walker for simulation.
