We haven’t bought a left winger yet so we are due. He can play centrally as well can’t he?
Hasn’t he had a lot of injury problems though?

Unless we are selling Salah why would we need him? We have needs elsewhere but as it stands we do not need another forward.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Maybe to see if he could replace salah long term??? If he is available on loan, then it'd be worth it imo if we had an option on the prick. Try before you buy. Jurgen could make him a star.

In reality i think doaky will be Mos replacement tbh

I think thats a bit much to ask an 18 year old to hit 40 a season (that will be the expectation he is up against). His scoring record isnt exceptional at lower levels, is it?

I think it would make sense to get a Mo replacement of pedigree, and have Doak progress at his own pace.

I was interested in finding out more about Tony Bloom. Was not expecting his path to financial success to be this.
                Modifying post.

BHA and Brentford are two of the best teams to watch from a tactical pov and also from a real world implementation of tactics pov.

The former were good in that respect under Potter but last season and again this season they have gone up levels under de Zerbi.

Think he and Frank are the two managers in the EPL that are the quickest to spot ingame weaknesses in their own team or in the other team and then convey the information needed to make changes almost straight away.

Also they both seem to have a core of players who in moments translate what the manager shouts to one of them into being an on pitch reality.

Said it in other threads, but if Klopp walked out in the morning I would want one of those two (Frank in particular as at present he is the more proven of the two) brought in asap.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

It’s the same way JP McManus became rich - he made a fortune at Cheltenham over the early years. There was also an anecdote (Jaco?) that he took a loan to buy a tractor and bet it on Limerick winning the All Ireland hurling championship in the 1970s and made a killing in that

Ideally we'd have a better structure with a DOF so the manager was more of a coach so it was a position that allowed for an easier transition should we need to change our manager.
The situation that klopp inherited was a shambles.

JP started out in tool and plant hire and then made money through book making and as an exchange trader.

The tales of lucky bets making his money are only just that. Nice stories to capture the imagination but not really all that true in terms of where his wealth originated. The 1973 tractor tale has been told many times and is a bit tongue in cheek as the amounts involved and the background of the story changes year to year.

I know Eileen McManus well (and her ex husband Mike McManus) and can safely say that JP built up his empire through a hell of a lot of hard work, a hell of a lot of research and that he has made far more from being a foreign exchange trader and through book making then he did through gambling, even in his early days.

Hate watchin Brentford tbh but he has done well there with what he has. Brighton on the other hand play some of, if not the best football in the league. They are fantastic to watch & De Zerbi deserves massive credit for building upon what Potter has done.

Foreign Exchange is where he coined in and smart investments like United. His daughter was mates with a friend of mine in college - we used to get great Cheltenham tips

I think she was in UCC the same time as me and I think I remember meeting her a few times in nights out. Might be a dream though!

Pretty sure Sue Ann went to college in Moylish (later to become LIT) in Limerick with her husband to be.

Another from the wider McManus family did go to UCC but would not have crossed paths timewise with you or I.
