Personally, I think its a dumb idea.

Tactical fouls already get yellows. Its hard to tell sometimes, so why do we need to do this? Refs struggle without all the extra nuance

Why not fix the current refs and rules first before over complicating things. They dont even book players a lot of the time for cynical fouls or dissent. Or is this how they spin it, this will help fix things and it will be much better.

Lets have a 52 card rainbow deck, that the referee can use like Magic the Gathering, or something.

A green card to cast a silence spell on the players, or blue to wind back time... Orange to Summon a demon to consume the dissenter or purple to drain the mana of a rowdy manager.

Not a fan of referees, but someone is just having a laugh at their expense.

I dont get the need to have to change things anyway. People meddling to justify their salaries. The game works as is, just enforce the current rules properly. I dont remember anyone ever that wasnt a complete knobend thinking sinbins are what the game really needed.

And how the **** do you judge a "cynical" foul?

Cynical fouls should be a red. Stamp it out properly, in fact just make it the equivalent of a penalty try as well. 10 min sin bin where time is wasted isn't a punishment

Orange is a super bad choice for 1/12th of the professionals playing

I don’t get it tbh (not the choice of colour!) so there will be effectively 5 levels on any contact for a ref to look out for and (god forbid) VAR.

1. A foul that leads to a free kick and no further action.
2. A foul that leads to a free kick and a yellow card.
3. A foul that leads to a free kick and a blue card and ten mins sin bin.
4. A foul that leads to a free kick and a red card and removal from the pitch.
5. A successful tackle.

It is going to be an absolute cluster****. Just make the yellow a sin bin if you are going to do it. The blue card is going to be massively subjective. I agree it’s just another thing for them to **** up.
