    League Of Ireland Football

I was a big fan of LOI football before I moved to the US. My dad played for Pat's and Shelbourne back in the 70's so I grew up a huge Pat's fan. I used to travel back in the late 80's all over Ireland watching the Saints play. Back when Paddy Dillion was up front and Brian Kerr was the manager.

Whats your story? Whats up with the LOI now? Shamrock Rovers???? They dominated the 80's.

I was a big Bohs supported for a few years but I've stopped going to the games.

I was actually embarassed by the behaviour of a section and quite a large section of so called fans.

These Burberry hat wearing scum bags have forced me and more respectable Bohs fans away from matrches with their disgraceful carry on.

I've been at matches when players, fans etc.... got bad abuse I've even been party to it but the Bohs fans were a disgrace.

A CL qualifier a few years back against Rosenberg was one of the worst that I'd witnessed, the bile that was shouted at opposing fans and players was sickening and I haven't been back since.

Thats too bad that people get that so nasty towards each other. Some good banter is one thing but thats just crossing the line. I was at a St. Pats game back in the 80's. I think they played Waterford in an FAI Cup semi final. A bunch of nutters from St. Michaels Estate started a riot in the shed end. My mate got trampled and broke his collor bone.

But the scumbag element aty Bohs games nowadays is unreal!

May change when they get the new stadium out near castleknock.

I go to every harps game and I miss very little Derry City games either -- Standard is ****e and the clubs are running themselves into the ground financially. As for first Division its complete and utter ****e

I used to go to the Harps all the time and them I wised up. Waste of time, the club is full off muppets with no ambition.
