It's got to be Cannavaro.

I agree to an extent about Henry - he's obviously a great player but very very rarely does he do it on the biggest of stages...in direct contrast to our own Stevie Gerrard.

I've heard it said he's struggled at Real too, but whenever I've seen him recently he's been pretty good.

I've rated him the best centre half in world football for a while, and his World Cup displays reinforced my opinion. As the article points out, he wasn't up subjected to the sternest of tests, but all the same - he was imperious.

Can't comment on his Serie A performances as I don't watch it due it being a) horrifically boring and b) corrupt.
