Newcastle played on Thursday night and so would have had to have their game on Sunday while Chelsea play on Tuesday. Their CL game on Tuesday is at home though so dont see why they couldnt play Sunday and Tuesday.

Just gives them a bigger backlog of fixtures later on in the season anyway.

      Thanks mate.

Still seems a bit daft to me - it's not like Chelsea haven't got a good enough squad to cope with two matches and their last match in CL seems to be a dead rubber anyway...

Pompey, Villa or both guaranteed to drop points, same with Spurs, Arsenal. Another big chance to gain/get a bit further ahead.
