It definitely means more that it's written by a SCUM fan. Had it been written by a Citeh fan one could have just dismissed it as jealousy or bitterness. The fact that it's written by one of them makes it so much sweeter because they recognise themselves that it's falling apart.
I'm not going to jump the gun and pronounce Fergie's SCUM dead just yet, but the decline has begun and it's going to get better.

One of these days the Man U death knell will sound - let's just hope it is this year. Carrick is a good player, but as I mentioned in another thread, a partnership of Carrick and Scholes will not bully and intimidate most teams now.

It would be nice if Ronaldo starts kicking up a stink too - and causes some disruption with Rooney. Man U imploding would be great!

Cacodemon, you are a disgrace to modding, this is blatantly in the wrong forum. You should be very ashamed of yourself

                Well, that's just silly.

Utd. aren't nearly as bad as all that and they're likely to make another couple of good signings in the next two weeks.

Carrick wasn't worth 18m but at least they won't have to play O'Shea or Fletcher in midfield anymore. They'll probably be stronger this year than last year.

All irrelevant as we'll win the title. What happens below us doesn't bother me.

Carrick's not an "attacking midfielder" Ian.

He plays holding midfield in a similar way to Xabi Alonso. However like Alonso i think that the way to get the best out of his passing is for the other CM to be useful at tackling as well. I have seen Xabi's great stats for last year but he still looked a far better player when Sissoko was in the team helping to disrupt attacks. So basically I think United still need another CM and think that Senna would look an ideal partner to Carrick.

I'm not sure if Senna's the "ideal partner" really. Where's the goals going to come from in that pairing?

I'd have bought one or the other, and an attacking midfielder.

Carrick is considered a defensive midfielder. Jol even stated that his replacement was just a good a 'holding midfielder.'

Good article. All Empires eventually come crushing down.

The decline began when Beckham, arguably Mr.Man United, was shipped out. Sure, he came close to becoming bigger than the club - but he was as much an iconic figure to the Scum as Gerrard is to us. Giggs, Scholes and Solskjaer are on their last legs - which will eventually leave an even bigger hole in their problematic midfield.

The Glazier's truly did "buy very high" and will end up "selling very low."
