Young footballer in serious condition after falling under a train.

Just wanted to post this as this happened the other day in London and the youngster was in the same team as that Prince lad that got stabbed
I think it's a foul, and if the ref gives it. He got to give a penalty. I know it's outside the box, but you see them given that close to the area. So if the ref gives it he's got to give the penalty as it so close to the area. But I think it's a penalty. Robbie Savage 8/11/06

Are you watching Manchester United? Are you watching Chelsea? This is Liverpool F.C taking over the bloody world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a horrible thing to happen. I was just about to walk into Earl's Court station when they told me it was closed over the sound of **** loads of fire engines, police, and a 'TFL Emergency Response Unit' arriving. Couple of people were standing around the exit looking white as a sheet. Hope the guy makes it.

Just imagine how his friends feel knowing that they killed a man by accident and could lose another team mate in the space of 6 months.

Don't want add fuel on the fire, but it appears these lads, at best, were pissing about on the platform, and fell off one anothers shoulders and knocked a Vietnamese student onto the tracks as well, but the Vietnamese student was killed.

Police have subsequently arrested a couple of this lads team mates for murder!

I feel a lot more sorry for the family of the Vietnamese student.

Same here. Everyone knows that young footballers can be the most ignorant, arrogant and childish brats around. Some aren't, but at that age to be riding on shoulders in a tube station platform? Well, they are clearly a bunch of little ******s!

I wasn't going to say anything as didn't want to come on as harsh, but I can't believe some of the little ****s playing near train tracks, it's ****ing stupid and every time I see anyone fannyin round near the tracks I feel sick. The major tragedy here is the student that died, innocently waiting for a train home.

just to add - Why is every headline/mention of this incident concentrate on "Young star critical" etc and the student hardly gets a mention.

Because he's a footballer and the other guy was just a normal man. Like it or not thats just the way it goes.
