Why can't we play with that intensity when we face the big clubs ? It seems our players are always subdued by tactical shackles whereas United, Chelsea and Arsenal tend to play more freely and put in a lot of energy. Is that an impression or what ?

True Fredo. Ferguson and Wenger very much allow their players to express themselves as individuals on the football pitch whereas Benitez and, to a lesser extent, Mourinho are very much tactical coaches. However, when we have been forced 'to give it a go' (Champions League final and FA Cup final) we've done very well.

We've lost every game against Arsenal, Chelsea and Manure by trying to be too clever tactically IMHO, that's why we lost. We play with a very high tempo at home and try to be more clever away from home, that's why we were poor away from home.

United particularly try to play every game with the same energy and tempo and they put teams under pressure. That's the way to play the english game, the only way. Chelsea play a bit cagey but when they have to go for the jugular, they do it with plenty of character and power.

That's the difference between us and them at the moment. No rocket science.
