    Alan Curbishley

Looks like he could be the new West Ham boss, what are your thoughts on this?
I really like Curbs, decent bloke and a very good manager imo, just look at the state Charlton are in without him.

I can't see the point in binning Pardew and then appointing Curbs. What has he ever won? Nothing. If West Ham are serious enough to sack Pardew they should at least appoint someone who has won something.
Stupid move to sack Pardew, he was a victim of the shenanighans going on at board level. He didn't sanction the Tevez/Maschareno deal and that has disrupted the club. Such a shame for Hammers.

decent manager, who went a bit stale at Charlton, no surprise given the resources and time spent there. Was not long ago he was touted as Ged's replacement.

I think Pardew's been treated shockingly here. He gets them promoted, then to an FA cup final in consecutive seasons, the first rocky patch they hit since he's been there and he gets the boot. And I'll bet anything the old owners wouldn't have sacked him.

West Ham fans should be very worried about Egghead. This won't end well.

curbs is a good manager but pardew has been badly treated but the £1m payout would help the pain

west ham have been apalling so far this season, but the have a good squad, should they keep faith in pardew and risk getting relegated, and to put the blame on tevez and marcherano, cause they disrupted the balance of the team what a load of cock and bull...

i wouldn't have sacked him yet tough i would have given him a bit more time, but if any one has to take the blame for west hams poor season it's the manager, end of...

West Ham were/are in a complete mess, they are performing badly and getting very poor results and all the baggage that came with the argies so I think they were right in getting rid of Pardew (whom I like to be fair) and getting someone else in. It´s not that Curbs is that much better, it´s just that Pardew is too involved in this mess to solve it. Plus I seem to remember that he was offered these argies and said yes to them, they were not thrust upon him. I don´t really understand the point some people are making (not aimed at no-one special) that the new owners don´t understand football. I can assure you that they understand it fully well, I´m not Eggert´s biggest fan (he made some poor managerial decisions with Iceland IMO) but he knows his football and has vast experience at national and club level.
