Because Arsenal are **** when we go we sell it out.
I think it's a foul, and if the ref gives it. He got to give a penalty. I know it's outside the box, but you see them given that close to the area. So if the ref gives it he's got to give the penalty as it so close to the area. But I think it's a penalty. Robbie Savage 8/11/06

Are you watching Manchester United? Are you watching Chelsea? This is Liverpool F.C taking over the bloody world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If there was 1 team I would pay to watch other than LFC in the premiership, it'd be Arsenal.

Probably because in Wigan footy is not the number one priority when it comes to sport

They are not far behind the Top 3 for me

              Top 3:
              Everton
              Manure
              Chelski

The pie shops don't close until 10pm in Wigan.

Either that or it is just a rugby town.
Twin boys - now arriving late August 2008.

Its gonna be Fernando and Gerrard if I get my way!

We sold out last year when we went there - plus they'd just got to the final of the Carling Cup so their fans were really up for it, but this season there were empty sections. And even more by half time!

We sang "Yer should have stuck to rugby" when we were 4-0 up

That what I am talking about, I went there last season. Sat in the Wigan end so had to be quite. Didn't know it wasn't a sell out this year, last year when we went they had there highest attendance ever I think.

Wigan haven't sold out for any of their games whilst in the Premiership, even Chavski, the first game of last season. I think LFC, Scum, City (last season) sold their allocation but there are always seats in the home end. I live in the town & got mates who are latics fans. They give excuses that it's near to Christmas & live on Sky but Wigan will never attract big gates. Whelan has put up ticket prices (Cat A games were £35), now charges for car parking & is generally trying to squeeze every penny out of the loyal fans. If he's doing that to the die-hards then casual fans can see through it and won't turn up.
There is a hard core of Latics fans & a larger Wigan RL support in the town & very few support both despite them being the "same" club. Wigan is not big enough to support two seperate teams. Wigan offered every Wigan RL season ticket holder a free ticket for, I think it was, the Villa match, this season. There was about 18 thousand on that day (thats with about 10 thousand Latics season ticket holders & about 12 thousand rugby season ticket holders)

The test for Wigan will be on 23 Dec when they play Chavski, all tickets are £15, see how many turn up.
