    Warnock off to Newcastle?

Glenn Roeder is understood to be considering an approach for Liverpool's versatile left-sided player Stephen Warnock. Warnock, 25, is unable to command a first-team place at Anfield but would solve a left-back problem for Newcastle. A fee of about £1.5m might be enough.
So says the Guardian this morning. Not sure what i think. I like he lad, he works hard, but I'm not sure he's good enough to be part of a team that challenges seriously for the title, Champion's League etc

Get him off our books. And a fee to boot.
    Good business.

    He also gets to play.

    Best for all parts.

    Good lad though.

      Agreed.

Wanted him to make it with us but not convinced he is at that level, don't think he is a championship player either but probably a happy medium like Newcastle

I think he's defo Championship level - and also has his decnt games at Premier level. At his age though - he should be playing more regularly - a move would do him good.

always liked him thought he got stuck in and liked a tackle though his positional sense was poor at times and could be exposed.

I think a move would suit all parties. A good pro who always gives his all and deserves all our best wishes wherever he goes.

Do you think we can tempt Newcastle with Diao?

I have to say I would like him to stay, I just like having him in the team.
I think it's a foul, and if the ref gives it. He got to give a penalty. I know it's outside the box, but you see them given that close to the area. So if the ref gives it he's got to give the penalty as it so close to the area. But I think it's a penalty. Robbie Savage 8/11/06

Are you watching Manchester United? Are you watching Chelsea? This is Liverpool F.C taking over the bloody world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I like the lad lots but I think he is one of those excellent professionals who have got where they are through endeavour. The problem is that at times that shows and he is found wanting. A very very good servant to the club, and the sort of individual and professional who other more talented footballers could learn a thing or two from.

Sad to see him go but if he cant get in the team with Riise playing so shiete all season long its fairly clear Rafa doesnt see his future at LFC

Sad espescially after all he's been through

Good lad but let's let him move on, if he's got any aspirations on having a decent career he's needs to move away from Liverpool because he just won't get the chance, and I think we have suitable cover now. So best for all parties I think.

I'd rather sell them Aurelio than Warnock.

Aurelio offers more going forward tho, and we still have Agger who can cover there if needed.

Fair enough. I was going to do a post about how much I rate Warnock more than Aurelio but they probably have equal faults in different areas of their game.
