Been sent this, yep I know, another petition, but this time its nothing at all to do with Kelvin MacKenzie! This one is to drum up some support for a posthumous award for Bob Paisley, seeing as he did far more than certain other managers yet has never been appropriately honoured. The link is below for anyone who wants to sign it.

Possibly not, but its worth a try imo.Originally posted by Rocket View Postgreat guy, but is there really much point to this
Signed.I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
Mine angry and defrauded young?

You may think that, but if we manage to get enough support you can then get the local media involved.Originally posted by Rocket View Postgreat guy, but is there really much point to this
Given the number of ex-Liverpool players, & devoted Liverpool fans that work in the media there's a chance that it'll get picked up. It's amazing what the power of the press can do.
No harm in trying, eh?

Think I've read somewhere that his wife, via an interview on the offal some time ago, was intimating that he should have got a knighthood. It wouldn't cause any harm anyway.Originally posted by lfc4ever View PostHas anybody actually asked his family if they wish this sort of thing to go ahead, do people think before acting?
Until they give full tacit approval, I'll let Sir Bob RIP thanks.

It's all a bit silly (royalty-bequeathed honours are a load of bollocks) but if it comes to the attention of the media and gets them to consider, if only for one second, that there once was an even better manager than Slur Ass-Licked Ferguson, then I'll go for it and am number 18.Last edited by scully; 30-12-06, 04:31 PM.
