Wriggle, squirm, we are top, endof.Originally posted by Speedy View PostOfficial form rules: The team at the top is the team who have achieved the most points in the specified time period. If two teams are tied then the last result is looked at, if they are still tied it is the game before and so on. We lost to Blackburn two games ago. In WHAT way is Chelseafc right?

To be fair, we have played teams recently that we should have beaten so I don't think we can read too much into the form table.
The Spurs result was a good one and hopefully we will get a similar result against Bolton tomorrow.Twin boys - now arriving late August 2008.
Its gonna be Fernando and Gerrard if I get my way!

I'd rather see a form table that was weighted depending on who the opposition were and whether the games were home or away. That would give a much more realistic impression of form.Originally posted by doogle View Postso should there be a top 6 form table?
We all said a few weeks ago that our away form was **** because we had played Chelsea, United, Arsenal, Everton and Bolton so nothing can really be read into the stats because those were the toughest games and easier ones would follow.
I don't really believe that we should be doing cartwheels because we have beaten Watford, Charlton and Wigan in recent weeks. The Spurs result was a good one but we need to go on a seriously good run like we did last season.Twin boys - now arriving late August 2008.

Form is what the team have been doing in recent games not what had done months ago, I know where you are coming from but that would almost be impossible because how would you rate points, teams where they are in the league or where they finished the season before, what form they are in or have been in, i could go on, why not be pleased to be beating Watford, Charlton and Wigan, we have to beat them to get further up in the tableOriginally posted by andyinswinton View PostI'd rather see a form table that was weighted depending on who the opposition were and whether the games were home or away. Top of what form guide? I mentioned that in my post - last eight Premiership matches.Originally posted by Speedy View PostTop of what forhm guide?
A normal form guide is 5 or 6 games. Surely United are better than us in that. Have you just created a form guide that goes as far back as United's last draw and then put us top on goal difference?
I think Everton are top of the form guide for the last game.

We're not this sad. Let's forget the ****ing stats and start topping the official form guide...
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/foot...le/default.stm
And no I haven't created any stats myself. The reason I look at them is for checking form guide etc before placing my bets for the weekend. So that's how I noticed that LFC were on top:
Last eight matches: http://stats.football365.co.uk/dom/ENG/PR/oform.html
Last five home matches: http://stats.football365.co.uk/dom/ENG/PR/hform.html
Last five away matches: http://stats.football365.co.uk/dom/ENG/PR/aform.html
I don't know why you would say were 'not this sad' by referring to stats :whatever:
And you refer to the hope of us to 'start topping the official form guide...'.
The only reason I mentioned the stats is, if were on top of it at the moment it shows were going the right way to climbing up the Premiership table.Last edited by Joey Jones; 01-01-07, 10:31 AM.

Beating Bolton and Spurs has been great. Spurs had won their last 12 games at home, including the Chavs, and we beat them and Bolton had won their last 5 games.
2 clean sheets and 6 points, we could easily have lost those 2 games.
A positive way to go into 2007
