Confirmation that Rafa and fat Sam hate each other.

Bolton manager Sam Allardyce has admitted that he does not have a great relationship with Liverpool counterpart Rafa Benitez.

Bolton play the Reds at Anfield on New Year's Day as the Trotters look to consolidate their place in the top four.

Allardyce has not been impressed by the Spaniard's relentless criticism of Bolton's tactics.

"I respect Rafa for his professionalism and for what he did at Valencia," said Allardyce.

"I respect him for winning the Champions League in his first season at Liverpool.

"But do we get on? No, not particularly.

"Does it really matter? You can't get on anyway because you only see each other for five minutes at a game.

"It's not like it used to be. If both managers want to share a drink after the game they can.

    "If they don't - they don't."

Allardyce also acknowledged that he may face a struggle to keep Kevin Davies at the Reebok stadium.

"I am aware there are clubs who are interested in signing Kevin, but we have made him a very good offer," he told the News of the World.

As if we didn't already know. Fat Sam is just gutted that Rafa got the job and he never.

Same here can't stand the bloke.
I think it's a foul, and if the ref gives it. He got to give a penalty. I know it's outside the box, but you see them given that close to the area. So if the ref gives it he's got to give the penalty as it so close to the area. But I think it's a penalty. Robbie Savage 8/11/06

I like him and think he is an exceptional manager. He can be a bit of a **** sometimes but so can all managers - they need to say things for the benefit of their team sometimes even if they are not what they think.

I can't stand him either. We always have to listen what a great manager he is and what he's achieved in the game on a limited budget and all this isn't from his peers but his own fat gob!

                  He's the new Graeme Taylor.

I can't be any more scathing than that.

Graeme Taylor is a family friend of a mate of mine and having seen some of his correspondence I can only say that he is a thoroughly nice man with a sweet heart. One of the letters I read was written just after he left the England setup, it was very moving - he even quoted Kipling.

Having said that he was a rubbish England manager and Fat Sam would also make a rubbish England manager, but that is a far as the comparison goes.

Big fat Sam is a ****.

                      I dont like SA either.

But i'm curious as to what could've triggered any problems between him and Rafa. I dont remember anything major happening. Why would they have a problem with each other? All i can think of is Rafa mentioning their style of play and SA not liking what Rafa might've said.

Actually, just seen this article on the offal:

Rafael Benitez has admitted there's no time for his players to dwell on Saturday's excellent win at Tottenham with Bolton set to visit Anfield in just 24 hours time.
Luis Garcia secured the victory for Liverpool at White Hart Lane but Benitez has already turned his attentions towards tomorrow's game when the Reds will take on third placed Bolton.

"You know my idea," said Benitez, "it's impossible for the players to be physically fit when you are playing Saturday and then Monday.

"We have no time to prepare the game but the players will be as ready as they can be for what we know is going to be a difficult match.

"Bolton are a good side with experienced players and they play with a style they have used for years. They are very good at what they do and we know what to expect. All teams have problems in playing against them.

"As always, it's up to the referee to be aware of what is going on during these games and I hope that will be the case this time.

"It was important to beat Tottenham because they were close to us in the league and it's the same this time as well. Bolton are having a good season but it's important that we beat them."
Rafa's quite clearly alluding to how dirty Bolton are and that's probably why Sam doesnt like him.
