FFS how many players are this year
and he came in for loads of stick 1st few seasons.

If Crouch could heeader we'd of been 5 or 6 up and who was the main crossers today, Kuyt and Pennant.

We've battered a very well organised team today and most of the play from from the right
Its times like these we learn to live again FF

Oh come on, didn't you hear Gerrard's post-match comments on Pennant's performance.
The lad's giving it his all and he played well today, give him due ffs

PS who's comparing him to Christiano Ronaldo? Just because a few posters give him praise does that mean they think he's
      suddenly a world beater? NO

Jesus Christ there are some people on here who just refuse to give him any credit. He was excellent today and even Stevie said so after the match.

Some of you would be creaming yourselces if Gonzales of Garcia oplayed so well.

All i said was i think the praise is OTT.

He was ok, that's all. It just so happens that an ok game seems to be the best we're ever going to get from him so everyone starts cracking open the bubbly.

Finnan put in better crosses today, Finnan came closer to scoring.

First half I agree, second half no way, and the second half outweighed the first.

On flippin fire is our Finnan, some lovely crosses whipped into the box today, he'd have a lot more assists to his name if our forwards were more feckin clinical in front of goal

Credit where credits due he had an excellent game today...it's obvious he is a confidence player so if the team and crowd support him I think he will deliver. I think he is going to be a key player for us in the second half of the season.

You get nowt for going close and it was Pennant who crossed for Crouch's goal...something you seem to ignore. Finnan did have a good game but so did Pennant. If you can't see that when the Captain can and the commentators can and the people on here can well then there is little hope Pennant will ever be good in your view.

It's part in parcel. Finnan had a great game, but the reason he was given license to go forward was because he had so much support from Pennant. Even our Captain said after the match how well he had played, give the lad some credit for ****'s sake. He was effective and probably our most creative player today so cut him some slack. If he builds on this today then we could eventually see some very positive return on our investment in him

Less of the condescending ****e please "grumpy old man".

Yes Pennant did cross for Crouch's goal, he crossed the ball five yards behind the strikers (not a good thing) if it were not for a magnificent piece of skill from Crouch that ball would have gone the same way as 95% of his crosses i.e to nobody.
