id take him, as has benn mentioned, doubt he would command 100k a week, and we would probably get that back in merchanidsing anyway. Still great passer, set piece taker and crosser of the ball.Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'
"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

It's one where I am torn. If he joined on a pay as you play contract, then I would say yes.
The media circus that comes with him irks me, but if he did the business on the pitch on a regular basis, and chipped in with some goals from our right wing, then I would have no complaints. Plus 40 or 50 grand a week would seem cheap if he were performing.
I think the question would be how much he has left in the tank at the top level.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

If he could give two years at a high level, then he would be an interesting transfer. Plus, as some have already said, he would bring in funds through merchandising.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.
