Rafa is in holland this weekend watching Kuyt so I doubt that it's tied up. Roeder is there too.

However...presumably you're not mates with Parry? Why would he tell a passer-by in the airport that a deal for Kuyt was on?!

You're doing it again shaggy . Take the info - store it somewhere - and move on.

                      Just being inquisitive!

Thought the 'scene' sounded amusing. Parry in his bermuda shorts, Hawaiian shirt and straw boater, blabbing about Kuyt in the departure lounge!

That's the most thoughtful and the longest thread i've seen from kopdan for ages. You've removed your shackles, that's good. :-)

Lecter has stated that he expects Kuyt to be signed and sealed by the end of next week. I do agree with him because Rafa has been on his trail since last year.

Only people who havent played football themselves cant understand the point of friendlies...The result doesnt matter but they are VERY important. That humiliation last night, only a week before the CL game, is really worrying.

I remember Manchester United lost 5-0 in a Charity Shield game (to Newcastle I think) years back...they went on to win the title that year. A lot of teams have went on to win the title after a poor pre-season whereas we have traditionally faltered after a good one. Let's hope this is a good omen...
