I would settle for this too.

I think finishing 2nd is crucial, as automatic CL qualification would mean a more focused start to the Premiership campaign without CL qualifiers getting in the way, and could make the difference between a good and bad start to the season in the league.

Having said that, given there is no international tournament in 2007, I would gladly go through a qualifier to get into the CL if it means the Manc Scum dont get closer to our 18.

What with that and eating his hat when Bellers gets to 10 league goals (as he undoubtedly will), methinks AA might need to rethink his "foolhardy promises" posting policy for next season

True, but surprisingly some people wld prefer that the dirty Mancs win the league instead of the Chavs. Strange. I'd be gutted if Manure won the league again, absolutely gutted

The scum dont have it won yet. They have to travel to us Arsenal and Chelsea. Mind you if we beat chelsea it will make it easier for them

but we are now only 8pts behind the Chavs with them yet to come to Anfield...and they wont have Terry to save them this time.

can we catch them? They really look quite ordinary ATM.

If we can sign Neill (as much as you dislike him he is a quality defender) and Young (as good as Lennon IMO) i think we could mount a serious challenge for 2nd.
I thinki the chavs are targeting our game for Terry to be back playing, hopefully they are pushing it too hard, really says alot about Maureen though, when the faith of his entire season rests in the hands of one single defender when he has had a botomless piut of money to spend and still finds his team struggling because of one player being out missing.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

dont think utd will do it(i hope 2 **** they dont anyway as much as i h8 chelsea i h8 them more) they have to play some big games yet and ronaldo and rooney are usually poor against the bigger teams! i think 2nd place is very much a possibility!

If you dont think United can win the league, and we can finish second, then, you are saying we can also win the league, right?. becasue personally i cant see us overtaking United, but could possibly see us catching Chelsea with a bit of luck.

Second is probably the best we can finish this season but you never know.

Man U will probably sign Hargreaves and they have already signed Larsson so they now can take an injury or two without any problems. Saha is now out injured but Larsson who is a better player will replace him
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

i think we have an outside chance coz we are really starting to pick up the results while utd and chelsea are faltering slightly. though if im not being optimistic chelsea will prob win it and i think utd will come third. in my opinion they have had an easy ride and been overhyped, they didnt beat chelsea, and arsenal beat them we are the only big team they beat and thats coz we were pants that day! so basically when the big games come for them i think there gona drop points!

There's 17 games to go and anythign can happen. Man U look very ordinary too in most games and still have to visit Chelsea, Arsenal and us. I expect them to lose all three.

I can sniff 2nd, but after the window Chelski will probably buy a couple useful players to give them an edge come near the end

Terry back this weekend, supposedly, with Cech and Robben "pencilled in" for the game against us.

We're going to win the league, have a bit of faith, we'll stuff the Chavs, they'll react to that by beating a few teams, SCUM will freeze and we'll roar past them.
