Terry and Cech will be back though, Mourinho says Cech later this month and Tery he said for 2nd leg v Wycombe if needed, he will pull all the stops to get them fit for this match. Hopefully we will have Lucas Neill by then to break a leg or two or charge knee first into the returning Cech..

Despite or because of their recent form and injuries, Chelsea will regroup, buy big again this month and come back stronger than ever. Right now's about the best time to play them but I'm not so sure that'll be the case in 17 days time...Originally posted by bred View PostTerry and Cech will be back though, Mourinho says Cech later this month and Tery he said for 2nd leg v Wycombe if needed, he will pull all the stops to get them fit for this match. Nothing would please me more than us finishing third and Bellamy reaching double figures in the league.Originally posted by MrMichael View Post
What with that and eating his hat when Bellers gets to 10 league goals (as he undoubtedly will), methinks AA might need to rethink his "foolhardy promises" posting policy for next season
Unfortunately, I still stand by both predictions.
I do think we'll win the Carling Cup though. Yay!

So even as things stand you're saying we'll finish 4th at very best and Bellamy will score no more than 4 more league goals this season? Wow, that's some serious pessimism you've got. Not realism, pessimism.Originally posted by anfieldanfield View PostNothing would please me more than us finishing third and Bellamy reaching double figures in the league.

Bellamy will have to score 5 goals to prove my prediction incorrect. I said 'more'....Originally posted by Red_Polo View PostSo even as things stand you're saying we'll finish 4th at very best and Bellamy will score no more than 4 more league goals this season? As, I said before, hopefully I'm wrong about both things.
Arsenal are only a point behind us in the league table, so the race for the third place will be very tight.
We shall see.

He's actually missed 5 games because of injury. So it's 5 from 17 gamesOriginally posted by Speedy View PostSo Bellamy has 5 in 22 available Prem games. There are 16 left and he needs 5 to prove Dan wrong. He was hardly way off the mark was he?
You're one of the best forumistas Polo but i'd end the embarrassing signature now.

The problem is that Bellamy will probably get injured one or two times more this season. He is injury prone. I wasn't surprised when he went off with a hamstring injury against Tottenham. He can't play to many games in a row.
I hope Rafa will understand that now and rest him every third game or so. We need a fit Bellamy.Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

The voice of common sense prevails. Not a snowballs chance of us getting second.Chelsea are sadly only suffering a temporary blimp and are still 8 points ahead of us.I'll happily settle for third this season ahead of the Arse its called being a realist not a pessimist.Originally posted by Speedy View PostWe will be more than 8 points adrift of Chelsea come the end of the season. We're not Barcelona, we need a reality check, cue Watford.
