And that followed some absolutely brilliant performances.

I'm not saying he is the best on the world, but to say he is overated is just plain silly.

        Same goes for Rooney.

Manure have scored by far the most goals in the premiership this season, and the two of them have been an integral part of that. They would both get into our team in a flash.

          Lampard
I can picture in my mind a world without war, a world without hate. And I can picture us attacking that world, because they'd never expect it.

I can't even remember why, but I used to hate Steve Archibald* with a passion!

*For the benefit of our younger members he was a striker for Spurs and Scotland
I like young women cos there stories are shorter!

I think it basically doesn't get any worse than Gary Neville for me. The thing which really tied it up was his celebrating at Old Toilet last season.

Other notable mentions go to : Cantona, Keane, C. Ronaldo, D. Beckham Graeme Sharpe, Diouf, Duncan Fergusson, Andy Johnson.

Their own fans' forums (according to my mates who support them) are awash with criticism of him with suggestions that he should be sold, so poor has his season been. In today's papers it says he was told by his club to take a 10-day break because he's been crap and a rest might help him. And he scored for England against someone or other recently which was his first goal in a competitive match for his country for 2 whole years. Plus he had a completely crap World Cup and was totally anonymous.

So I repeat, he is staggeringly over-rated.

Could we not just end this thread by agreeing that we all despise anybody who has ever played for Everton, Man U or Chelsea and (for our Irish brethren) add in all Rangers players as well?

                        Thanks...

Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.
