Crouch to Juventus and Trezeguet to us?

Juventus are thought to be targeting a move for Liverpool striker Peter Crouch, according to reports in Italy.

Reports suggest Juventus have lined up Crouch as a possible replacement for David Trezeguet.

Trezeguet's long-term future at Juve is shrouded in doubt with the player thought to be considering his options.

Juventus are now believed to be drawing up a list of targets to replace Trezeguet should the Frenchman leave Turin.

Crouch is thought to come under the gaze of Juve officials as doubts continue to grow over his Liverpool future.

It has even been suggested that Liverpool and Juventus might do a straight swap between Crouch and Trezeguet.

The England international has struggled to hold down a regular place in Rafa Benitez's side this season with Dirk Kuyt and Craig Bellamy keeping him out of the side.

Newcastle have been credited with an interest in the player, but Crouch insists he has no plans to quit Anfield.

Juventus are also thought to have targeted Ajax ace Klaas Jan Huntelaar and Werder Bremen star Miroslav Klose as possible striking reinforcements.

Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Surely wont happen and wouldnt want it to. Trezeguet has to be one of the laziest strikers around, adds nothing to a team whatsoever apart from goals. Would be like RvN at united, would score goals but when he leaves, all of a sudden the team starts playing better.

Not a Rafa type player in the slightest IMO.

And to be fair, a lot of them have been quite silly!! So that´s Trezeguet, Bent and Villa upfront for next season at least with Mascherano as back up to Xabi and Stevie. Did I leave anyone out?

Still, what´s with these constant links with Juventus? I feel they keep being linked to Liverpool players and vice versa
                      * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

I think that Liverpool and Juve have been in contact but that the media doesn't know what it's about and that's why they are coming out with all the strange rumours.

                          Just a guess.

                            Always?
How many players have you been thinking that about always?
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

                            * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs
