He's like the white ball on a pool table, someone else is in control of the action, goals are only scored when deflected off another number, he's always in the back pocket of a decent defence and he stands there looking lost when snookered.

It loses all credibility with Lampard on the list...

We were somewhere around Barstow on the edge of the desert when the drugs began to take hold.

It doesn’t really, does it? I mean, we laugh at him cos we have an infinitely superior midfielder, and we laugh cos Chelsea fans think their boy is better. He is a very limited footballer but you cannot argue with 20 odd goals a season for the last two years. There’s no wonder some fans of other clubs would want him.

In reality Lampard is a good, albeit limited player, as much as I hate him….in the same way David Platt was, really, a good player.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

a very accurate description of frank who was supposed to set the world cup alight and show us all how he was the 2nd best footballer on the planet but instead ended up killing 20 people who sat in row z at the stadiums! :bird:

Going back to the managers bit as well, what does it take for Rafa to get some recognition?

Because from what i can tell, outside of us LFC supporters, few 'football fans' seem to rate him and I don't understand it.

First season in english football, started to rebuild a squad, won the champs leage, and got to the carling cup final.

Second season won the super cup and Fa cup, got us our best prem points total ever and finished 3rd

Third season, hasn't started the best but we are still in 4 competitions (just about) we've got the charity shield(wow), we're sitting third, got the carling cup quarter finals coming up and a last 16 tie with Barcelona.

That's just with Liverpool, in spain he won the uefa cup and 2 la liga titles etc.

Are the masses just very uneducated?

Fat Frank is hot looking. I'll admit that. But if I'm going to vote for someone because of the way they look, I'd vote for Stevie's best looking legs every single time.

With the January transfer window opening, Sky Bet polled British supporters and discovered that over a third were desperate to see Stevie G don their club's colours for the New Year.

The Reds skipper, recently awarded an MBE, beat Arsenal counterpart Thierry Henry into second place, with Barcelona's Samba star Ronaldinho the third most in-demand player.

Completing the top five on British supporters' wish-lists were England pair Wayne Rooney and Frank Lampard.

                              Most wanted
                              1. Steven Gerrard (35%)
                              2. Thierry Henry (30%)
                              3. Ronaldinho (24%)
                              4. Wayne Rooney (23%)
                              5. Frank Lampard (21%)

Sky Bet's research also revealed that the most highly-prized manager was Martin O'Neill of Aston Villa (18%), with the Ulsterman beating his more illustrious rivals Sir Alex Ferguson (16%), Jose Mourinho (11%) and Arsene Wenger (10%).

However it is transfer tittle-tattle that is so tantalising at this time of year, and Sky Bet are offering a number of special markets regarding the final destination of a number of in-demand stars.

Southampton teenager Gareth Bale is hotly tipped to move to the Premiership after scoring five goals from left-back this season, but will he end up at Manchester United (3/1), Tottenham (5/1), Arsenal (8/1), Liverpool (10/1) or Chelsea (14/1)?

Sky Bet's poll found that 38 per cent of supporters wanted David Beckham to return to the Premiership, but at present the Real Madrid midfielder is favourite to join Internazionale (5/1), with Tottenham (10/1) and Liverpool (12/1) the two hotly-tipped English clubs to secure his signature.
Forgive me if I'm not reading this right, but don't the figures add up to 133%?
