getting to the game can be tricky at that hour if your not staying overnight in LiverpoolOriginally posted by dom9 View PostAnd your point is?Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'
"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.
* After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

It can make travelling to the game rather more problematic.Originally posted by LFCman View PostAhhh moan moan moan. :P
I've seen it used as excuses for our performances and atmosphere. Does that stop others?
You still kick the same ball and still can sing the same songs.
.
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

I think it is a valid excuse for the atmosphere, which is never the same for a midday match. Take the Bolton match on Monday, it was absolutely dead until we scored, which I found a bit annoying, but what can you do with a match like that.Originally posted by LFCman View PostAhhh moan moan moan. :P

The last time I recall anything like a decent atmosphere in a midday kickoff was the Man U FA cup match last season which I think was a midday match if I recall correctly.Thomas Hicks Senior
