Some interesting home vs away stats

Okay for those out there who like to read stats (all 2 of us) here's a couple of comparitive stats vs last year, and one particularly interesting one.

In like for like games we've dropped 11 points but gained 5 points

Which means we are 6 points worse off compared to this time last year

That's switching Bham for Sheff Utd, West brom for Reading and Watford for Sunderland.

Now of those games, and breaking them down in home and away points

We have dropped 4 home points, but only 2 Away points compared to last year.

Now this is only the half way point of the season, but contrary to popular belief, our away form is only 2 points worse off than last season wheras the home form is 4 points worse off.

Just thought it was an interesting stat that a lot of people may not be aware of.

It means we aren't going to win the title again

"If Gerrard continues to play up front, leaving this lack of creativity and intelligence in Midfield, the season WILL be over by Xmas."

I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."

        Excellent statidge Morphy.

Will be interested in revisiting this at the end of the season.

Bottom line, we can't beat our rivals away from home. Also, 2 years in a row we start badly under Rafa.
A good start is just as important as a good finish to the season.
