Do we really need anyone that is currently available and not at silly prices anyway?

We've got cover pretty much everywhere on the pitch, albeit not at world class level in some places , but cover none the less.

This summer, there's no tournaments so prices shouldn't be stupidly inflated off the back of 5 games.

We'll also know where we stand with investment/new stadium.

How many quality players are there that are currently available at clubs who would be in a position to let them go?

Come the Summer I could see us maybe going for another striker so that God can be shipped out and we have 4 to rotate and potentially more cover on the wings/fullbacks but right now, with Momo due back and the team on good form, why upset the balance?

I really can't see this being a busy time for us except for shipping out a few fringe players, selling or on loan...

Yes I believe the stories in there today as well. It was only after reading the Echo that I started to believe the speculation about Mascherano. Bascombe is always spot on with these things.

The thing about Chris Bascombe is that he never usually prints stories like the one today unless he's certain that it's fact. I remember when Ged was sacked and he printed an exclusive that Rafa would be our new manager in 2 weeks. 2 weeks later and Rafa was brought in. Only after Rick Parry had his holiday mind!

Apparently although he played for Corinthians this year it was actually Last season in Brazil so he should be fine. That's what Bascombe said in the Echo today.

Bascombe also said that Rafa wanted it sorted earlier rather than later, I would not be surprised if these two sign tomorrow personally.

Mascherano would be a good signing. Its not happened for him at West Ham but he is a great player and would be a good aquisition.

I hope we sign a few players though.

I´m very happy with Neill and Mascherano and over the moon if we got in SWP as well.

I know they dont wanna sell to us, some say, but I have not given up hope.
