    truth day on saturday

    RAWK.
didnt see it mentioned here so...

As part of the plans for Saturday’s FA Cup tie with Arsenal, you may have already seen the flyers and announcements on the RTK website - The plan to protest for Justice for the first 6 minutes of the game. It is an official RTK Flag Day and we’ve asked for as many banners as possible to be brought along to the game. If on The Kop, get down to the front with them before the game and let’s make ourselves seen as well as heard.

The 6 minutes will be timed by the holding up of a banner down at the front of The Kop, 6 MINUTES FOR THE 96. When this banner is removed the 6 minutes is up. The banner is 15ft long so you won’t miss it.

Also – we have organised a mosaic for Saturday, a mosaic that will state, in red lettering with a white background, “THE TRUTH?”

One thing however, this is a mosaic with a twist!

Instead of holding up the cards for the mosaic when the players come out, or during YNWA, this time we’re asking for the mosaic to take place when the game kicks off! As soon as the game kicks off, the cards go up and mosaic stays up for the first 6 minutes of the game to accompany the chanting and the banners down the front. Let’s see the BBC cameras ignore this little statement!

In order to make this work, we need volunteers to help lay out the cards for the mosaic on the Kop seats on Saturday morning. Anybody that can lend a hand, please make their way to the Shankly Gates for 10am on Saturday. We’ll be going into the ground at 10am so please make sure you are there before hand.

    Saturday, 10am, Shankly Gates.

The more we have there, the quicker we can get it done and be out. Also help required distributing RTK and Truth Day flyers required at 3pm outside the Arkles. Hopefully we’ll have plenty of time for a few refreshments between the 2 events!

Most of that's in the sticky.... but what the hell, you can never have too many threads about this stuff, I really hope this comes off and is very visible/audible on the BBC broadcast of the game.
I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
      Mine angry and defrauded young?

The BBC surely know about all this and wont show any pictures of the crowd.

The national press will go big on this though I think, when they see it.

It's a good story for them and a chance to openly trash the BBC....

How's that going to work if one of teams score and most of the mosaic collapses?!

Hopefully when the mosaic goes up the full of the ground will join the Kop in singing justice for the 96. The BBC wouldn't be able to drown the sound of that out. Hopefully they do show the mosiac but I seriously doubt that they will.

the club have said this today

Stadium Manager Ged Poynton hopes everyone attending the game will have an enjoyable time but is keen to stress that for everything to run smoothly certain regulations have to be respected.

He says: "In keeping with our previous policy of allowing flags and mosaics to be displayed inside Anfield, Liverpool Football Club have once again agreed for cards bearing the word 'TRUTH' to be held up on the Kop ahead of Saturday's FA Cup tie against Arsenal.

"We invite fans to bring their flags and make their point but must stress that, under the terms of the Ground Regulations and General Safety Certificate, the holding up of flags and cards after kick-off is strictly prohibited.

"Keep the spirit of LFC going by displaying your cards and banners between the playing of 'You'll Never Walk Alone' and kick-off, but once the game is underway please put them down so everyone can enjoy the match.

                  bound to be conflict

If everyone in the kop understands the reasons behind it then they will ignore this and carry on, much like the standing up all the way through the champs leagues matches etc

It's a very noble idea, but I don't see any good coming from it.

If it works we get a kicking for the safety/regulation issues.

If it doesn't work (because half the crowd decide to watch the match), then we're going to look ****ing stupid.
