I especially like the bit about gerrard going missing in big games.

How the hell can you say someone is a flat track bully in football? What does he mean? Stevie G scored that goal with his foot, not a cricket bat!

Do you think that when people write stuff like that it's for real?I mean you can usually tell if someones on the wind up but this guy really seems to be the genuine prize prawn.

Even the bitterest of blues couldn't bring themselves to come out with garbbage like that.

He's biased and fed up that his team lost. Maybe any of us could look like that sometimes to other fans.
          .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Gerrard goes missing in big games? Someone clearly needs to look up the facts. He's scored in the CL final, the UEFA cup final, The F.A. Cup final and the league cup final. You can only play in 4 cup finals for your club and he's scored in them all. Add that to the fact that he's scored in numerous matches in the prem and you'll see that he doesn't go missing.

The bitterness is gratifying to read though, eh?

I guess, but if he just stuck to his slating of rafa then you can say that, but for him to say the stuff about gerrard,no matter how fed up you are,you make yourself out to look like a fool.

Were talking about a player who, some would say, is the best footballer in the world.

Also i don't think he should be fed up at all, bolton have just lost once out of 5 games, they should be anything but fed up.It's no shame to lose to Liverpool.Or is it?

When you're upset it's easy to go too far though. A cautionary tale, that's all.

It's interesting to think that maybe some fans of some so-called "lesser" teams might actually believe that it is shameful to lose to Liverpool.

I suppose they get caught up thinking they are better than they actually are,and are actually punching above their weight when they find themselves in the top 6 at this time of year. They lose touch with reality!(smile)

Confirmation that the average football fan is an idiot

Sometimes i do actually think we are the most intelligent fans, but I can't go basing that on one silly article.

Plenty of slating for Rafa there but strangely nothing about fat sam and his (ahem!) backhanders! They speak about Rafa not respecting english football but who's done the most 'harm'? Rafa or fat sam?

No, that wouldn't be very intelligent. Far better to base it on entirely your objective analysis of all the evidence available.
