I think this shows why the top two are top, but also highlights how weak the rest of United's side are. I dont think any of there other players would get near the squad, apart from maybe Vidic, Saha and Evra. A few injuries and they'd be horrible. If there was a second XI i reckon our boys would cominate it, showing our stength in depth.

Ferdinand would not be in my first XI. Van der Sar is not the 2nd best keeper IMO. Jaaskelainen for reserve keeper and Carra for first XI.

Essien has been tremendous this season. Him and dogbreath have kept Chelsea going.

When you look at something like this, you realise that there is a distinct lack of quality in certain areas.

If some players mentioned already were transferred to Seria A or La Liga, who would take their place?

There isn't massive competition at either full back position, there isn't anybody outstanding to replace Petr Cech and if Ryan Giggs is still the best left sided player than there is something wrong.

There is plenty of quality and choice in certain areas, particulary down the middle but elsewhere it becmes apparent that there is a lack of quality.
