    Possible transfers round up

So who are we actually in for allegedly:

    Javier Mascherano
    - Loan deal. Apparently the only thing stopping this is FIFA and their ruling. Previous precedents have been set and FIFA may not have a leg to stand on.

    Ashley Young
    - £5.5mil This is the latest figure being quoted for us in relation to Young. Plenty of competition but have we got any money for the Jan window and do we need another wannabe?

    Darren Bent
    - Apparently we are in for him along with all the usual suspects. He's injured for the next 5 weeks plus so this is a non starter.

Lucas Neill - Long time link. Out of contract in the summer but Chelsea now interested. You either like him or hate him. Probable cover at RB but not one for the future.

James McCarthy - HAMILTON are believed to have knocked back a bumper offer from Liverpool for teenage midfielder James McCarthy. Liverpool apparently verbally offered a £160,000 signing fee, with add-ons that could add up to around £600,000.But it’s believed that Accies turned down the lucrative offer for McCarthy (16), amid reports that the youngster wants to stay at New Douglas Park.Hamilton Accies manager Billy Reid confirmed that the player “did exceptionally well” in a trial at Liverpool, but said no formal offer has been made, and there are other interested clubs.

David Villa - Not a chance in the January window and possibly never. Villia has always stated his dislike for the UK and the PL. Would cost upwards of £20mil in reality so only likely once we have been DIC'd.

    Scott Carson
    - Returning from loan. Dudek stated a few months ago he'd like to leave in January on a free. Carson will obviously return if that happens but no offers yet for the Dude.

    Thierry Henry

    Sorry I was bored.

Have we been linked with Bale in any papers or is it just net talk?

Mascherano....Rafa will probably sign him even if he won't be able to play for us this season.

Young.....I doubt that we will sign him.

        Bent.......Not a chance.

Neill.......I can't see him move to us when he can move to other top clubs and get more playing time.

        McCarthy.....Will probably sign for us.

Villa.......Maybe in the summer but you never know what will happen if the takeover goes through next week.

Carson.......I thought that he was on loan until the end of the season and we have not recalled him as far as I know.

Henry.......It's a bigger chance that we will sign Messi than him.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

            Real Madrid?
Is he really that good, or are the real Madrid links to be ignored as agent talk to raise his profile.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

Can see McCarthy, Neill and Mascherano singing (eventually) but nobody else, too much interest in Ashley Young at the moment for us to be seriously interested with the investment not sorted yet.

was kinda thinking that, so used to seeing them linked with South Americas top kids, and with the power of the Premiership, Id be supprised if they are willing to take on Englands richest clubs to buy the worlds most expensive league for inflated prices.
However, I do think their profile has been raised by English footballers joining them over the past couple of seasons.

We should sign Benni McCarthy from Blackburn. Would be a GREAT replacement for Fowler

Has really impressed me since his move to the Premiership, supprised Jose hasn't been impressed too lately with his impressive displays and the chavs stiking problems upfront.

Espescially when you consider Jose signed him at Porto.
