I can put in tons of effort but unless its with direction and clarity then its wasted. We played with passion for 25mins. It should be for 90mins. They huffed and puffed but to what end? Their keeper never actually made a save.

Just a question - What was the protest actually for? And why right now?
1) to push for McKenzie to publically publish an apology?
2) For The S*n to publish an apology?
3) For further legal action to further prosecute / re-open the inquest into the 96 deaths?
4) To push for some compensation for the families of the victims?
It cam across as amazing on the telly.

The players let that fantastic crowd down today. Big time.
They SHOULD be embarrassed.
Spot on. The fans showed class before, during and after the game. YNWA belted out whilst we were 3-1 down, sung by fans, who, for the most part, could only dream of the rewards, financial and otherwise, that the players privileged to wear the red shirt get.Last edited by Doc_Piptorious; 06-01-07, 09:03 PM.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

The fan and the people who organised this today created an emotional and magical momment that will have been seen, admired and respected by all sorts of fans throughout the world.
It was a performance to show every other club how special the bond between this club, it's fans and it's community really is.
It is unmatchable.
I would give my right nut to have been there for a part of that wonderfull show of love, passion, togetherness and honour regardless of the game, performance and final score.
This thread is to show respect to those involved in that today.
Can we please continue to do so and leave the comments about the team for the other threads?
Anfield Road
Centenery
Main Stand/Paddock
The Kop - beyond words.
CLAP CLAP CLAPCLAPCLAP CLAPCLAPCLAPCLAP DALGLISH!

Respect to Alan Green (BBC radio Five Live) who made a point of explaining on national radio what the Kop were doing and why they were doing it. He also showed his disgust at Kelvin MacKenzie and The S*n (despite the fact that MacKenzie had recently presented a show on Five Live).
Respect also to the fans of Newcastle, Ipswich etc who contacted Five Live’s ‘606’ radio phone-in to show their support and to echo Green’s feelings towards MacKenzie.Another MASSIVE game
