it was a penalty...why should Xabi have to jump out the way of a reckless challenge? the guy flat out beat his man and got his feet clipped...no it wasn't a hard challenge, but he went in recklessly and missed the ball.

I thought Pennant had another good game out there. Gerrard tries to hard IMO...he wants to score the wonder goals, but some of the simple stuff he ****s up. He needs to sort that out, and stop trying to score and set up wonder goals.

Dudek was absolute crap, and he needs to go. He should of saved all three of those goals. The first one wasn't hit well and he just let it go straight under him. The second was hit well, but it was straight at him...he was just to frigging far of his line. Henry's was again pissweak goalkeeping, that ball went straight underneath him. WTF was Carra trying to do anyway, that was woeful defending by him...of all the people to try that **** i wouldnt expect him to do that.

Rafa should of brought Crouch/Garcia off for Bellamy after that goal, he would of terrorized Hoyte on the left...maybe he wasnt completly fit? Id ont know, but he was needed out there.

Im dissapointed in the scoreline, but the performance was ok. Now we can see how much Reina influences the defence when he is out there, Dudek was horrible.

PS: **** Mascherano get Tevez in here. He would do wonders for our attacking play and could be our Rooney type figure. Im a big fan f Mascherano, but we dont really need him. Tevez we do need.

I don't agree with you. We need Mascherano to speed up our game. We are playing to slow against the top teams. Sissoko would slow down our game even more and we don't need that against the top teams. Just look at the difference in pace between us and Arsenal and Man U.

We need to get quicker, not slower. I can agree with that we need a player like Tevez but we also need a penalty box specialist.

We need Sissoko in a few games every season. Against teams like Bolton and Blackburn away but not in that many more games like that.

He left his feet in the way. He stopped the process of running, and started the process of falling over and moving his foot to the defender's so that contact would take place. He doesn't HAVE to jump over it, but when he was so blatantly looking for the penalty he can't be surprised he didn't get it.

Didn't deserve a booking tho.

mascherano wouldnt speed up our play mate...he's good, but he is a deep midfielder, much like Xabi. We have absolutley no one when we get within 40 yards of goal. Tevez can get the ball in these areas, dance around 2 players and play a thru ball, he does it often. This in turn allows Kuyt to actaully get in the box, instead of having to be the link up man. We have plenty of CM's that can break up[ the play, but this lack of creativity is concerning. Momo was missed badley last night IMO. Rosicky would of never got the ball for that second one if he was playing.

its one of those either or calls really. I think he genuinly beat his man, and played for the peno...fair enough too. The arse player made a bad tackle, and Xabi tried to play that to his advantage. He didnt "dive" because he actaully got clipped, and if he hadnt of jumped he would of got clattered


it doesnt matter now anyway, but IMO it was a penalty.
