But the team does play more of the long ball game when he's in the side, which I think is what you mean - is it?

But his movement is still poor. He simply can't 'give and go', or spin off the defender, or run in behind, or work the channels........ He is not mobile enough. Therefore the options he gives to the midfield passer are limited.

The long diagonal ball is overly used when he's in the side - especially as he's better with his feet than his head (as you say).

      -------------Reina-------------

      Finnan--Carragher--Agger--Riise

      ----Gerrard--Alonso--Sissoko----

      Garcia------------------Gonzalez

      -------------Kuyt-------------
I think Garcia is rubbish to be honest. Yes he scores the odd important goal but that's all he contributes. He would need a goal a game to justify his selection in my opinion. Sell him now rafa please
      Dare we believe

I agree with everything you say, Howard. However, it does make me laugh (not directed at you) when I got slagged off for saying I didn't want him , and didn't rate him as good enough when we bought him, (and that we paid over the odds) and people are now wanting to offload him saying he isn't good enough.

If we get £8m+ for him it'll be good business (if we get £12m from the Barcodes I'll be ecstatic). I just hope the Bellamy to Villa rumour for £9m has some mileage in it too...

I can see one of them going - probably PC - but not both. Yet.

Wouldn't it make sense to only replace Robbie at this time, and see who we can get rather than who we think we can have?

I doubt any of PC, CB or DK will be leaving within 12 months, and I can only see PC leaving if he asks to leave of his own accord, as we will prob see him drop to "not being in the main pack of strikers".

If we get 2 more goalscoring strikers in this window with Crouch out, I can live with Bellamy as 4th striker until the summer. But if Villa offer us £9m for Bellamy, I'd rip their arms off. Potentially £21m in for strikers that we paid £13m for would be oustanding business - us making a profit for a change. That woudl virtually pay for David Villa. If we did that I could live with Garcia or Gonzalez or Kwewll as the 3rd striker with Fowler as 4th choice for the rest of this season.
