first visit to Anfield for 20 years - update

forget the score, my son and I experienced the most incredible atmosphere. He was speechless, he just couldn't believe the noise. The singing of YNWA before and at the end of the match was just amazing and the Hillsborough protest was a credit to all who organised it. At times, the whole ground were on their feet chanting.
It was an experience I'll never forget.
Yeah, we lost the match, but we'll never forget the day.

Glad you enjoyed it, hearing YNWA at Anfield is something every fan should experience.

Superb mate, bloody superb. You picked a helluva game to go to (in a non-footballing sense).
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

my son is still young and didn't know much about Hillsborough. He learnt more about what it means to LFC supporters in those 6 minutes on Saturday evening, than he could ever learn from me.
The atmosphere and crowd were fantastic.
He'll never forget the whole experience. He was so pleased when Kuyt scored!! He's gone into school today proudly wearing his hat and scarf, he's expecting some comments from his mates, many of who support the Arse. but he doesn't care. All he wants to do is tell them that "he was there" - the most incredible crowd, the most amazing atmosphere.

Fantastic - delighted that your son enjoyed the day. Bloody shame about the result though.

Excellent, made up you enjoyed it.

It makes me proud to hear people say such wonderful things about Anfield (just wish it was like that every game!).

Always good to say 'I was there'. Being there week in week out, sometimes you lose that special feeling for the place but its games like Saturday that make you feel proud.

it was a pleasure and a privilege to be back at Anfield. You guys are without doubt the greatest, from the first six minutes to the way you all applauded Thierry Henry off when he was substituted, I was proud to be there on Saturday. Let's hope it's not another 20 years until my next visit!

Somehow, I doubt it will be judging on your account. Liverpool Football Club doesn't let you go that easily.
