I can't believe I'm actually posting one of these rumours, but here goes ...

I live in Harrow, NW London, just a stone's throw away from Watford. My brother's business partner goes to the same car wash as Marlon King (yes it sounds ridiculous). The attendant alledged that he was told by Marlon King that Ashley Young is signing for Liverpool. He didn't say it was going to be this month or summer.

The Mirror this morning had a great rumour, both Ashley Young & SWP to Villa!

I'm not sure which one is more credible!

I also saw a rumour on another website that we all know and love, claiming that Rafa has been given the go ahead to spend 10 million on SWP, and chelsea are ready to play ball.

4m is a good price imo probably not worth that yet but he certainly has the potential

From what little I've seen of him he looks a decent prospect. If the price was right he'd be a good addition to the squad methinks.

depends how much they want for Young, i've seen reports saying they want 7mil and at that price i would prefer SWP for 10.

Young, we have had enough probs with trying to bed in wingers that are not up to speed, SWP would need another season (or most of) just to get back to a decent level, and I doubt any CL side would take him on under them circumstances, and he may never recover from what has happened, so an outlay of that magnitude is a huge gamble on SWP.

Having never really noticed Ashley Young before the speculation started I think it'd be hard to make a judgement at the moment. I would've said SWP everytime up until this season but the lad just seems to be struggling and I wonder if the move to Chelsea has ruined his potential to be a great player?
