      Phew!!

For a moment there I was crapping myself that the first post was going to say Benni!

And why would he go to Reading for a trial?

FA youth Cup holders. Anderson and Linfield doing very well on the England youth internation scene (aswell as some others), some very tallented young foreigners aswell.
I appreciate that they are talented but at the same time those who have had a go (admittedly not for very long) haven't looked outstanding and seem to be above those two in the pecking order. It's not that I don't want them to succeed but I doubt the likes of Fabregas or Walcott could just sit in the youth teams and go unnoticed.

All I'm really saying is that it's not going to do any harm to get more young talented players in.

Can you play football without a soul?

Is that Mr McCarthy in the main picture ???http://www.gingerkids.org/faq.html

the only reason i'd say that is because of the lack of playing time our so called tallented younger players are getting. He could be anything up to a couple of seasons away from a first team debut at Anfield.
But he's only 16!! Remember - Walcott and Rooney are exceptions, not the rule.
Surely he should be looking at learning the game first, and then trying to break into the first team?
If he has confidence in his own ability, why should he go to Reading instead of us?

He has declared for Ireland and He is one of the most exciting prospects in world football. I think his gingerness can be excused on this occasion.

Also, this pic is about 3 years old.

That website is too funny. Forwarding it to all the ginger people I know, well both of them

I agree mate. I just think the young lads in our squad have more ability than their appearances in the first team suggest, and the longer it is left like that the more they miss out in their development.
If this lad recognises this, he may choose to go somewhere like Reading instead of anfield.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

                  * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

Benni is one of the best signings this season; £2.5 million, 13 goals, 9 in the league, is great value.

As for the ginger, who knows....

If he's half as good as that other well known ginger from the scum then i think we can excuse his ginger hair alright.
Love to see us sign a bit of young British talent.
Surely he'll choose us over Reading? No disrespect to Reading of course,
good club but it's a no brainer really.
