players are human beings - if the vibes are bad: ie he wants a new deal but aint gonna get one, then his mood and hence form may suffer. only natural.

Please no! If anything is evident from the results against the top clubs in the premiership, then its the fact that we need some players at the club who can make a real impact on the pitch. Somone one along the lines of Ronaldo, Robben or Henry.

If we keep bolstering the squad with mediocrity then thats what we'll achieve more often than not.

Very average footballer who helped us get through to the FA Cup final last year with his goal, dribbled the whole CSKA London's team and scored to help us win Community shield, scored to help us win Supercup vs. Bayern, scored that ET goal against ManU at Anfield, scores only crackers...

Riise does seem to get a lot of stick on here. I think he has been a great servant to the club and should get a new contract. He has his faults but he's still a very consistant player. he's one of the better leftbacks in the premier league IMO.

even in his better seasons he was always been caught out of position usually coming inside and letting an opposing winger outflank him or being caught too far up the pitch-in his mind he thinks he's a winger plus why oh why does he always shoot :he rarely hits the target( i'll give the ones that do are something special)
