Did anyone watch this? How did Leto get on?
I ended up watching the first half of the Barca game and the second half of the Madrid game. I dont like either team particularly but I cant help feeling Barca deserved to win the leage, the way they play and even their goal difference was far superior to Madrids.

Maybe a South American replacement for the Wackers is called for...Originally posted by dww View PostDoes anyone have a match report? Or more usefully a good website for argentinian football reports in general?.
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

I've seen lots of him, and I'm sorry to say he's not better than what we already have. 'Ary is definitely still the man to beat for that left wing spot. Leto appears to be the hustling and bustling type, ala Riise. With the occasional put-the-ball-through-the-legs trick, very occasional.
He appears to have a good engine in him, but not with blistering pace. Very similar to Riise. But he does puts in a good cross, but prefers to bring the ball down to the line before cutting it back. Very one-footed too.
Correct me if i'm wrong. Just my humble opinion.

It could work well - especially as Google does Spanish translations.Originally posted by Neil Young View PostMaybe a South American replacement for the Wackers is called for..."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

Yes, that occurred to me too. On the other hand, it's not a funny name that would keep me childishly amused for hours.Originally posted by Red_Polo View PostThe Uruguayan Liverpool would be a good one

What about the heroic Ben Hur? He/they play(s) in the Argentinian second division...Originally posted by Neil Young View PostYes, that occurred to me too. On the other hand, it's not a funny name that would keep me childishly amused for hours.
