Still disagree, it was Rafa's choice to play him, especially given his performance on Sat. I get the feeling Rafa played him tonight knowing that he was more than likely going to give a **** account of himself.

Really wish Jerzy had left after the CL Final, for his and our sakes.

Dudek didn't seem at all interested, but as an aside - have you EVER seen a defender who can't head the ball before? Palletta seems terrified of it, he can tackle, but his heading is astonishingly bad. Gave away the free kick because he couldn't head the ball.

WHat I really didn't get was that Rafa didn't replace him at half-time. That way:

          1) Rafa had kept his (wrong) proimise
          2) Jerzy would have accepted it (how could he not with such a 1st half display)
          3) we wouldn't have had to worry 2nd half whether Dudek was going to amke anotehr gaffe

Big, big mistake by Rafa with team selection - but even bigger one not to take Dudek off.

[QUOTE= The penalty save showed that he's still got it though.[/QUOTE]

Shot stpping is only one dimension of the keepers role. Dudek is indecisive, unable to organize his defenders and take control of the situation. Reina has flapped a few times this season but has been able to recover well. Dudek seems to be unable to focus very well for the entire game. FFS, 2 goals in added time in the 1st half.

Bye bye Jerzey, close the door on the way out.
He's never shown any confidence since his major cock-ups against the scum. Thanks for the peno saves in Istanbul but its time to retire.

If Rafa's plan was to put Dudek in the shop window during these 2 games, then it was very bad decision making by the gaffar. Looks like we'll probably need to pay someone to take him off our hands

He'd have been hooked at half time if Gonzo didn't get hurt

You know my views on Jerzy. He's been a liability for years. Last night was hopefully his final joke appearance for the club.

His first season here he was fine. After that? Well - he's been like a quivering wreck. And his lack of mental strength is astonishing.

Let's hope Rafa makes no more promises to him apart from 'I promise you won't play for the first team ever again'.

Dudek has been and always will be a f***ing clown! Once I saw his name on the teamsheet most would have predicted a loss, it's a shame as he should have gone 2 years ago, then he would have at least had his dignity!

So long Jerzy and thanks for the dancing...
I can picture in my mind a world without war, a world without hate. And I can picture us attacking that world, because they'd never expect it.

Just cant see him playing for us again unless Reina is injured/suspended.

It's almost like he did it deliberately to get Rafa back for dropping him after Istanbul.

That first goal was horrific, schoolboy goalkeeping, and the free kick, he actually watched it come over the wall and go past him without even moving.

can't believe people think he did it on purpose.

Lets face it, last night, he played badly but jesus I've seen worse from other keepers.
