    Ljungberg

Apologies if a thread has been started already, couldn't find one

But what about Freddie Ljungberg?? He's most definitely available by all accounts, and whilst we haven't seen that much of him recently he's always been a good right winger for me.

Pops up with the odd goal, can take a player on, decent pace and knows how to whip a ball in.

I'm surprised given how unhappy most on here are regarding Pennant, that Ljungberg hasn't been mentioned

    Thoughts??

There's no water round here stupid, should have stayed where it was wet

Id have SWP ahead of him. Hes a good player but most probably his best years gone.

SWP at 26 and im sure hungry for success if he hasnt been brainwashed by the Chelski influence

Depends on the fee involved, I read something yesterday that West Ham are interested in him and willing to pay £7m. I don't think he's worth that much. If the fee is about £2m/£3m I think he'd be a good signing.

At that price we should be interested. He's far better than some of the players we have out in the wide positions. I'd welcome him as an LFC player. He's maybe slightly injury prone though.

Well, he's only 3 years older than SWP?
Only question mark is the injuries he's had over the last year or so

The 'Fredrik Ljungberg Zone' seems to think that West Ham are leading the race to sign him, coupled with a potential swap deal involving Reo-Coker

It also mentions Ryan Babel for the Arse if they can't get Ribery

Don't know enough about Babel except when he came on at the World Cup he was quick as fook

I would think he'd jump at the chance to sign for us, especially over the relegation hovering Hammers but it does also state that Inter, Juve and Valencia are interested

Personally if he can stay fit, i'd pay the £7mil thats been quoted? Maybe not the £70k per week but hey

Yup. A reject who would walk into our first 11...

That's the problem. We'd still be playing catch up with these so called 'more talented' teams.
