    Mata is available for more or less nothing at all. Why pay £9m for Young when you can get Mata much, much cheaper?

    He is the same type of player and is at least as good as Young IMO.
    Just believe and you never know what will happen.

    According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

        It looks like no one have heard about him except of me

        He is probably the best Spanish U20 player right now. He can play as a right or left sided winger or in the middle.

        He is very fast and have a lot of skill. Can get past his man. Valencia wants him.

        He is playing for Real Madrid's B-team and have been linked with us.

            I'm not doubting this kid's good,but are you seriously saying that, considering our need, you will rather have an unproven youngster, playing in a less competitive division in the Spanish league to a proven youngster, playing in the premiership?

              i've never seen him play, and judging by what most of you lot think of him, i'm not opposed to us signing him, but at this present moment, with Garcia out, I think we need more than a gifted teenager to lift our season.

                Barca want this Mata kid too. Most of the young players who are highly rated in the B teams of Real Madrid and Barca more often than not go onto become class players. Vicente was signed from a lower league team by Valencia and look at him - he went on to become the best winger in the world within a year (but he's always injured now). Apparently Mata is being signed as a replacement for Vicente. Vicente may therefore be available.

                But I think Mata should only be signed if he's ready for first team action. We're signing to many young players who are only good enough for the reserves.

                  Rejected £7m for Young (Didnt say who from) according to Boothroyd on SSN. And people say English players are overpriced, what a silly suggestion

                    He's 21 & ready for the bigger stage, depends on how much the player "wants" it, most these days will sit tight and attempt a loyalty bonus pay-off (along with an agents fee - so wonder who pushes for them to sit tight?) rather than ask for a transfer and receive nothing.

                      Maybe we could offer them £2m plus Pennant. Young would probably take his place anyway.

                                Ashley young = CLASS!

                                He's had a great season so far for a ****e team (lets be fair).

                                But why would we go for him? I mean he's young , english and is a gun already.

                                We just don't go for these kind of players. Let him go to Tottenham, Arsenal, Man U or Chelsea.

                                I mean, why would we actually purchase a player that could definately improve our squad?

                                Its just crazy talk.
