            Sad to see him go but maybe its just gone stale. We havent produced any players at all since Owen and that a long time ago.

            If we can get someone like Brady at Arsenal he's done a great job there as we all know

                        No we havent. It's been very poor. I mean GH was criticised for not giving youth a chance but we've seen when Rafa's brought in the likes of Warnock and the others from the academy they havent really been up to it.

                        Makes you wonder if people like Stevie and Owen etc would have made it anyway in spite of Heighway - I mean class players like that will always make it wont they. And the emergence of Carra has mainly been under Rafa.

                              A sad day for me, Steve Heighway was a superstar player, It's difficult to see if his methods at the academy weren't working or whether it's just the lack of talent coming through, maybe the scouting network isn't that strong anymore does Rafa have a Geoff Twentyman to rely on ?

                              Very sad but onwards and upwards and I would put my faith in Rafa in these troubled times. Mind you I said the same for Ged and looked what happened.

                                In fairness to Heighway he could only work with the players he had. Its the scouting system that seems to be failing us.

                                Incidentally we did win the youth cup last season
