[QUOTE=Dhavlos;234516]I am absolutely sick and tired of reading intense criticism of Rafa at every turn, all because of two meaningless defeats in cup competitions which we have won plenty of times already. The reaction to a 6-3 defeat in what was essentially a reserve game is quite frankly pathetic, and what has been even more inane is moronic Arsenal fans sticking the boot in, forgetting that they're a team who are lower than us in the league, finished 15 points behind us last season, and lost to Sheffield Utd just a couple of weeks ago.

Liverpool fans last night and on Saturday showed what they're really made of, getting behind the team and singing YNWA despite the team fighting a lost cause. I'm proud of the club, and in particular I'm proud of the fans, for not reacting or biting to this pathetic diatribe aimed in Rafa's direction which seems to serve no purpose other than to destabilise the club and heap false pressure on Rafa's shoulders.

Rafa is the right man for us and there is no one better to lead our club in the 21st Century.

So I say let's take this opportunity to reflect on Rafa's two and half odd years at the club, remember the good times and show appreciation for them, and look forward to the better times that lie ahead.

Best manager out there by miles.

For sure, he ****s up, but which manager hasn't.

Best thing to happen to Liverpool since Shanks.
      Reece, get off my wife.:whatever:

However I can’t understand how you can describe defeats in a quarter final of the League Cup and the 3rd round of the FA Cup (which imo is arguably the best cup competition in the world) as ‘meaningless’.
Mate, the League Cup is a meaningless competition, I won't even bother backing that up because most would agree. As for the Cup game, we're the holders, it is unlikely we would have won it again and we would have lost somewhere else down the line anyway. Better now than later on. I mean we get knowcked out if it every year apart from last year and 2001 when we won it. What makes this time more important?

Meaningless?! What about the times we won the LC:

          1980-81 - 1981-82 - 1982-83 - 1983-84 - 1994-95 - 2000-01 - 2002-03

          Were those wins meaningless?

Best. Thread. Ever. [aside from my Keely Hazel one]

In my eye's Rafa can do no wrong. So we get beat 6-3 by Arsenal at home? Rafa delivered number 5 and for that reason he can do no wrong. I'm a fully paid up member of the 'blind faith brigade'.

            Rafa.

Come on mate, it is a completely different competition now to what it was then.

Amen to both points there mate
Remember, we're only adding to the nonsense.

Walking a lonely road one night, Nasruddin saw riders approaching. His imagination ran riot: he saw himself robbed or killed, so he climbed a wall into a graveyard and hid. Puzzled at his behaviour, the riders, who were followers of the Mullah, followed. Finding him cowering behind a grave, they asked "Great Sage, why are you hiding here?". "It's more complicated than you think" he replied, "I'm here because of you - and you're here because of me"

Meaningful games... hello? Istanbul... Gerrard, Hamman (enforced change)... hello? Bleating on about money, when Arsenal's net spend is comparative to ours... hello?
